The List Google Cloud Printers (G4GLSTPRT) command is used to retrieve a list of available printers and their status.  This command will populate the file G4GPRTPF.

  • Google ID - Enter the Google ID you wish to list printers for.
  • CCSID - Enter a CCSID to be used for data translation.
  • Debug - Enter *YES to turn on debugging.
  • Debug File - Enter the fully qualified path of the IFS file you wish to hold the debug data.  If left blank, the default is /tmp/g4g_<id>_listPrintersDebug.txt.

The layout of the G4GPRTPF file is as follows:

 File Name . . . . G4GPRTPF
  Library . . . .   G4G
Format Descr  . .

The first time the G4GLSTPRT command is run, this file should be updated with Update Data (UPDDTA) or another command.  You will want to change the GGPPRTKEY (Printer Key) field to a unique name that is easy to remember.  This is the value that will be used on commands such as G4GPRINT to identify the printer you wish to use.

Whenever this file is refreshed by running the G4GLSTPRT command again, any existing Printer Keys will remain intact.
