The G4GPRINT command allows you to print a document or URL to one of your existing Google Cloud Print printers.

Before this command is run the G4GLSTPRT command will be run in order to populate the G4GPRTPF file with available printers.  You also should have already registered the *CLOUDPRINT service for your ID using the G4GREGSVC command.

  • Google ID - Enter the Google ID associated with the printers you wish to use.
  • Printer Key - Enter the unique Printer key.  This value needs to match a Printer Key (GGPPRTKEY) field in the G4GPRTPF file.
  • File or URL - Enter either the fully qualified path to the IFS file to print or a URL.  When specifying a URL, the document must be freely available without any passwords or security or it will not be printed.
  • Filename - Enter the file name as you wish to appear to Google Cloud Print.  If left as the default of *FILE the filename of the File or URL parameter will be used.
  • Content Type - Enter the content-type value for the file.  If left as the default of *FILE the extension of the file will be used to look up a content type in the G4GCTTPF file.
  • Print Job Title - Enter the print job title that will be used by Google Cloud Print to identify this job.
  • Orientation - Specify the orientation of the document you are printing.  Google Cloud Print does not automatically calculate this and it must be entered and be the same as the orientation of the document you're printing.
  • CCSID - Enter a CCSID for data translation.
  • Debug - Enter *YES to debug this command.
  • Debug File - Enter the fully qualified path and name of the IFS file to store the debug data.  If left blank the default of /tmp/g4g_<id>_listPrintersDebug.txt will be used.
