The G4PPREGSVC command allows you to register a service with your PayPal ID.
Please see this PayPal documentation for the required initial setup of your sandbox account and registration of the PayPal app for your account. For the PayPal app name we suggest using GreenTools for PayPal - G4PP.
If you will be using any of the functions from G4PPNVP you will also need to set up credentials for that. This PayPal Documentation will help with that. You will want to use the "Create an API Signature" section. The Certificate API is not yet supported.
Once you have all the credentials required (account, client ID and client secret) you can use this command to register your sandbox or live account. PayPal suggest always starting with your sandbox account and testing before moving the process live.
Unlike other GreenTools registration process (for G4G or G4MS) you will not be redirected to a screen. Simply enter the required information on the G4PPREGSVC command to get started.
- PayPal Account - Enter the PayPal Account ID (email address) associated with the sandbox or live application.
- Client ID - Enter the client id associated with the account.
- Secret - Enter the secret associated with the account.
- Sandbox Account - Specify *YES if you are registering sandbox account, or *NO if you are registering a live account.
- Service - Enter the service you are registering.
- Redo Registration - Enter *YES if you are redoing the registration because of authentication issues.
- CCSID - Sepcify a CCSID to use for data conversions.
- Debug - Specify *YES to turn on debugging.
- Debug File - Enter the fully qualified name of the debug file you wish to use. If left blank, this value defaults to /tmp/g4pp_<id>_registerServiceDebug.txt.
