Chapter 1 - The SPLTOOL Command

The SPLTOOL command is used to start up the SPLTOOL display. It is a simple command that allows you to subset the spooled files viewed in the SPLTOOL display.

  • Output queue - Enter the name of the output queue you wish to view, or specify *ALL to view all output queues. The value *LAST will be used to view the last output queue the user worked with.
  • User name - Enter *CURRENT to view your spooled files, the user name of who's spooled files you with to view, or enter *ALL to view the spooled files of all users. The default value for this parameter is *CURRENT.
  • User data - If a value is entered on this parameter, only spooled files with a user data parameter matching this value will be displayed. *ALL will display all spooled files.
  • Form type -If a value is entered on this parameter, only spooled files with a form type matching this value will be displayed. *ALL will display all spooled files.
  • File name -If a value is entered on this parameter, only spooled files with a file name matching this value will be displayed. *ALL will display all spooled files.
